Pre-Law Society
Purpose
Ouachita's Pre-Law Society was established in the spring of 2016 with the induction of 13 charter members. It's purpose is to:
- provide information and guidance on the legal profession, law school admissions, and LSAT preparation;
- facilitate connections with practicing attorneys, especially alumni; and
- encourage camaraderie among fellow students through get-togethers and an annual community service project.
Membership and Dues
Membership is open to current full-time undergraduate students who are in good standing
with the university. At the opening meeting in the fall semester, interested students
may join the society. Membership is renewable each academic year.
For 2024-25, membership dues are free.
Officers
Ouachita's Pre-Law Society officers provide leadership in the planning of and ensuring attendance to Society events and activities. Officer nominations and elections are conducted at the Society's opening meeting.
