Mabee Foundation challenge grant helps fund new Elrod Center facility at Ouachita

Ouachita Baptist University’s Ben M. Elrod Center for Family and Community has been awarded a $210,000 challenge grant from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation. The grant will help the center reach its fundraising goal of $1.05 million for the construction of a new facility to replace the Elrod Center’s current offices. (more…)

Ouachita trustees approve 2013-14 budget, elect new faculty and staff

Ouachita Baptist University trustees approved a 2013-14 operating budget and a concealed weapons policy as well as several personnel recommendations during their June 13 Board of Trustees meeting on the Ouachita campus. U.S. flag presentation at Ouachita honors memory of fallen soldiers

Honoring “students, faculty and fallen comrades of Ouachita Baptist University” who have served in the U.S. military, U.S. Army Maj. Johnpaul Arnold presented an American flag flown in Afghanistan to Ouachita’s School of Humanities during an outdoor ceremony on campus June 7. (more…)

334 Ouachita students named to Dean’s List

A total of 334 students at Ouachita Baptist University were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester. The students will receive a certificate of recognition from Ouachita and will be included in theNational Dean’s List” for 2012-13. (more…)

265 Ouachita students named to President’s List

June 4, 2013

A total of 265 students at Ouachita Baptist University were named to the President’s List for the spring 2013 semester.

To be named to the President’s List, a student must compile a 4.0 grade point average and be classified as a full-time student, with a minimum of 12 academic hours. (more…)

Ouachita professor and student display artwork at South Texas College’s Ceramic Showdown

Ouachita alum to present university with U.S. flag flown in Afghanistan

Flag Day is coming early this year to the Ouachita Baptist University campus.

Maj. Johnpaul Arnold, a public affairs officer with the U.S. Army, will present an American flag flown in Afghanistan to Ouachita’s School of Humanities. The outdoor ceremony, set for 10 a.m. on Friday, June 7, will be held at Ouachita’s International Flag Plaza. (more…)
